Care Credit

Care Credit is an independent company that provides financing for physicians, dentists, and veterinarians.  It is not affiliated with parktown Veterinary Clinic.

To finance your veterinary bill with Care Credit you must submit an application and obtain pre-approval.  We can do this for you in a matter of minutes or you can do it yourself at www.carecredit.com

To pay your veterinary bill (which must amount to $300 or more) with Care Credit you pay 5% of the total financial charge to Parktown Veterinary Clinic.  This must be paid at the time your bill with us is due.

After that, all your payment will be to Care Credit.  If you finance for 3, 6, or 12 months there will be no additional interest charged after the initial 5% payment made to Parktown Veterinary Clinic.

If you finance for 24, 36, 48, or 60 months there will be an additional interest rate of 11.90% charged by Care Credit.

Your monthly payments can be an average amount based on the total amount and length of the loan.  You may pay more than the average amount and there is no prepayment penalty if you decide to pay off the loan early.

THE FINE PRINT

There is however a minimum montly payment.  In order to preserve your initial low interest rate, each payment must be no less than the minimum montly amount and the payment must be on time.  If a payment is late or is less than the monthly minimum then a late fee is charged and the interest rate changes to 22.98%.

You may have been given an estimate for the cost of our services.  Keep in mind that it is only an estimate and the charges may exceed that exact amount.  It is therefore a good idea to obtain approval for more than the initial estimate.  You are under no obligation to borrow the entire amount for which you were approved.
